Installing Current CT Clamps
The non-invasive current clamps (also known as CT clamps) used by UCentric should only be fitted by a properly trained and certificated individual.
The current clamp is designed to be clamped over the LIVE wire within a consumer unit (or single LIVE wire near the equipment to be monitored)
It cannot be clamped around a 2 or 3 wire feed.
The current clamps come in various configurations, but always have a module that clamps around the LIVE wire.
Important
Only qualified indivuals should install these
Only clamp around a single LIVE Wire
Ensure that the Arrow on the top/side of the CT Clamp matches the flow of electricity
The ‘sender’ unit must be located OUTSIDE of the consumer unit, and OUTSIDE of any metal casing (as this will act as a faraday cage and block the signal)
