Administration, Site creation and running audits.

The administration menu allows for several administrative actions such as backing up, creating sites or running audits.

Site Administration

Before you can view any sites or data from voice audits, you need to create a “site”, a site is the term used by the app for an individual PBX.

To do so, the user account in use will need “Voice Audit Admin” privileges within it’s login profile or system admin. By default, the ucadmin account is a system/super admin.

If you have the correct privileges you will see the “Administration” pane at the bottom of the services menu on the left of the interface.

UCentric Administration Options

Within the Administration pane you, select “Site Administration” to create or edit an existing site.

A window will then appear showing any existing sites, here you can click an existing site to update or edit the site details of (Name, connection details, credentials, run an ad-hoc audit or schedule a new one)

To create a new site, select “Add new site” from the banner at the top of this window.

Adding a new site in the site selector

Adding a new site or clicking on an existing site will open up the site editor window.

Within the site editor you can set the following options:

System Details/Connection Settings:

  • System name - Name of the site or PBX, used to refer to the site in reports and interface.

  • Node - This is the category or grouping to locate this site under.

  • Vendor Type - The type of vendor/PBX being added/audited.

  • Connection Type - This determines the method of connection for the audit, these are also determined by what is supported by the selected PBX.

If you wish to audit a system by dropping a backup or export into UCentric please refer to our guide here UCentric Voice Auditing (via Vendor PABX Backups) which outlines which PBXs support auditing via backup.

Connection Settings for IP

Choosing an IP or other direct audit method expands the window to allow the connection details to be entered. Please see here Direct Audits (IP, Dialup, VPN, Serial) | Direct Audits for the types of details required for each PBX type.

  • Vendor Username - The login for the PBX, usually an engineer level read only user that can access the relevant maintenance terminal interface of the PBX.

  • Vendor Password - Password for the above account

  • PABX PIN - The pin number for the above account (Only required if configured on the selected system)

  • SSH USERNAME - Optional SSH username for the PBX gateways and SSH interface.

  • SSH PASSWORD - Password for above

  • SYSTEM IP ADDRESS 1 - IP Address for the main PBX system, the same IP that is used to access the relevant web interface and maintenance terminal of the PBX

Once the connection/system details are filled in you can click “Save” to create the site. Note, this must be done before running audits or setting up schedules.

Editing sites and running audits

Upon creating a site or when you want to edit a new one, re-open the “Site administration” window.

You will now see your newly created site or existing sites.

Click a site to open it for editing or running an audit.

Once opened the site editor window will now have a section for dropping the backup file in, refer to UCentric Voice Auditing (via Vendor PABX Backups) for how to obtain backups for each supported vendor.

After dropping a backup in, select “Start file-based audit” on the next screen to start the audit.

You can use the logs to check if a recently run audit has completed.
