UCentric System Requirements
Overview
This document outlines the recommended system requirements for all UCentric Product installations and should be provided to a customer in conjunction with any installation project.
The MIT technical team/DevOps should be consulted for any bespoke or complex configurations.
UCentric can be installed on a Windows Server, Desktop PC or Laptop.
General System Requirements
The General System Requirements should be used for any software installation, additional requirements for specific products can be found in the “UCentric Product Requirements” section.

Software Requirements
Software | Requirement |
SQL Server | SQL Server - 2019+ or latest MS supported version (Express is supported but not recommended for large installs.) A version of SQL Express is included with our software installer for low-end UCentric instance deployments. Local/remote and TCP/IP must be enabled in SQL Server Configuration. Remote SQL Servers must have SQL Server Browser Service enabled and running. |
Internet Information Services (IIS) | 10.0+, or latest version available on OS |
Ports | Must have minimum required ports open. 80 or 443 (dependant on https being enabled), 8809, 8080 and 8844 |
Windows & User Account Privileges

Windows | Local Admin rights or read & write permissions to C:\inetpub and C:\Program Files (x86) |
SQL Server | Server Admin (sa) or equivalent permissions. Must be able to create, alter and write to databases during installation. Can be reduced to dbOwner privileges with ability to read/write to tables within created databases after installation |
UCentric Product Requirements
These requirements should be provided to the customer along with the general requirements to ensure specific product requirements are met.

Network | Must be accessible over network, IP address required. |
Server | Server must be able to communicate with PBX. (see PBX crib sheet for more information) |
Voice Audit
Voice Audit installs require that the UCentric software can access PBX systems to carry out audits. This is usually done via direct access and each vendor will have different requirements. Our Direct Audit requirements for audits can be found here: Direct Audits (IP, Dialup, VPN, Serial)
Some systems can also be audited via backup and UCentric can utilise this method if direct access isn’t availableUCentric Voice Auditing (via Vendor PABX Backups)
